In the southeast region of Arizona, you will find Bisbee, a city in, and county seat of, Cochise County. The population was 5,996 residents as of the 2007 census. Covering a total of 4.8 square miles, all land, the city sits at an elevation of 5,538 feet above sea level. Founded in 1880, Bisbee was a copper, gold, and silver mining town named in honor of one of the financial backers of the Copper Queen Mine, Judge DeWitt Bisbee. Bisbee became the county seat in 1929 after it was removed from Tombstone, Arizona.
If you're going to Bisbee, look in the Bisbee, AZ Yellow Pages and the Bisbee, AZ Business Directory to find great places like the art deco style Cochise County Courthouse or of course the Copper Queen Mine. Other places, such as the Thomas Ranch could be of some interest, as it was built in 1902, the same year that city was incorporated. Bisbee is also home to Warren Ballpark, a historic baseball stadium built in 1909, which is still in use by the semi-professional Bisbee Copper Kings baseball team.
