Olga is a populated place in the state of Arizona, in the United States of America. A populated place is usually a city or town that is referenced by its geographic coordinates, is an unincorporated municipally, and has no real legal boundaries. Olga is located precisely in an area called Cochise County. Although Olga is listed on maps, it does not seem to be a very well-known area, on account of the fact that the Olga, Arizona yellow pages and business directories are not easily found.
Olga is very close to the eastern border of Arizona. This part of Arizona is in the Mountain time zone, therefore Olga and neighboring cities do not observe daylight savings time. The geographical coordinates of Olga are latitude 32.3 and longitude -109.359. The nearest neighboring city is Yellow Hammer Mill. Some other close cities include Bowie, San Simon, and Wilcox. The nearest highway is interstate 10.
Though it is difficult to find information about and research (most likely due to the remoteness of this area), there is a great amount of history in the County of Cochise and the Olga area. Cochise county has had a reputation for lacking in laws and rules in older times. For this reason, many outlaws and criminals found this to be an ideal place. There was also history of Indian disorders throughout the county. The land is mostly trees and desert grasses at lower elevations, and mostly mountainous at higher elevations. Surrounding areas were useful in cultivation and mining.
