Looking for a great deal? Do you need new shoes, new pants or maybe event a car part? Sounds funny, but all possible if you went to a local flea market. Flea markets have been around for decades. Offering everything from jewelry and socks to prom dresses and auto parts. They offer just about everything including the kitchen sink at a great discounted price to the public. Now some flea markets are only open on the weekends and others are open 7 days a week. Flea markets are exciting. They really do have something for everyone. When shopping at a flea market you will also get the chance to see if you can make a deal for the item you want to purchase. Sometimes you can get an additional discount or perhaps no tax added by doing this. There are so many different types of flea markets and local flea markets. A lot of high schools will have flea markets on campus to help raise money. Some flea markets are all indoors like a giant flea market mall with food vendors, a circus and nail salons. You will also find local flea markets at your county fairgrounds that are usually open on the weekends only. These types of flea markets are sometimes referred to as a farmers market, where produce and food items are sold as well. You really cant go wrong by going to one if you have never been before. You will be amazed at all the big and small items sold. Some people set up a booth and sell handmade items they have painted, sewn or built. Some people sell items you have seen in the malls but for a much cheaper price. No matter what the item, if you are looking for it they probably have it.

Now if you are a bit of an automotive buff, you might want to check out a particular type of flea market known as a swap meet. A swap meet usually happens once or twice a month at a designated location such as a fairground parking lot or even an empty old drive in theater. Normally this flea market, or swap meet as they call it, will open around 5am and close by 1 or 2pm. This flea market is very well known for selling cars, car parts and a lot of vintage goodies. Most of the time the people who go to these swap meets are purposely seeking out a certain car part or a particular type of old vehicle to purchase. It is amazing what you can find in regards to automotive parts there. You will also find the most amazing antique and vintage collectibles at a swap meet. Some people use the old saying of, one mans junk is another mans treasure. This is so true! When visiting any kind of flea market you are guaranteed to come across second hand items or old car parts to discovering the most amazingly talented painters and craftsman with one of a kind art and furniture. Hands down, the flea market is sure to have something for everyone. Great finds at a great price. Cant ask for anything better than that.
