About Logistics

Logistics is the supply and management of things such as goods, information and other resources from the point of origin to the point of consumption. The art of logistics was first used in ancient times when Greek, Roman and Byzantine soldiers needed supplies and finances managed so that they could effectively meet their military goals. In todays world of commercial consumption and military combat, the old principals of logistics are becoming increasingly important. As time marches forward we learn new techniques and applications of old techniques and are able to make the system into a quicker more efficient process, and when it comes to logistics, isnt efficiency what its all about?
