Encompassing 4 square miles of land in both Boulder and Jefferson Counties in Colorado, the town of Superior is populated by 12,900 residents. With a rich history in coal mining, the town has more recently become a small and quiet ranching town, farming as well. The bike race draws hundreds of people to the beautiful mountain roads of Superior to enjoy and participate in the event.
