Pensacola, Florida is considered by many people to be the perfect retirement city. This city is located in Escambia County, Florida, with a population of more 56,000 people, according to a 2006 census. Warrington is the community located on the outskirts of Western Florida in Pensacola. This is the home of the infamous Blue Angels. They are one of the worlds best flight demonstration teams. Individuals come from around the globe to see this spectacular navy team perform at the Pensacola Naval Air Station. They put on flight shows every so often and the public is welcome to attend. The shows are free and are part of NAS national tourists attraction.
Another popular main attraction is the aerospace museum, which opened in 1962. The naval historical museum is one of the most entreating and informative past time events that can be enjoyed, by an entire family, of all ages. The museum is responsible for housing and displaying many retired air crafts. Every year military retirees and their families come to Pensacola, Florida to enjoy the sunshine and easy living. Tourists, visitors, and residents alike can appreciate the rich culture and historical value this city has to offer. Pensacola also has one of the best Pediatric hospitals in the state. Parents bring their children from great distances to receive the care and therapy for their children. The hospital is also associated with the Ronald McDonald house. This is a special hospital for children who have been diagnosed with this life threatening disease. The Ronald McDonald house not only house patients, but their parents also. They are a charitable organization and they do accept donations to help with the offset of expenses that many parents have.
The city has several shopping malls and many famous restaurants all located within minutes of each other. Hotels are in walking distance of some of the finest eateries and entertainment facilities. The movie theaters are located inside the mall for easy access. Like any other city, the weather can be a bit unpredictable. Normally, the weather is sunny and fair on most days. There are lots of attractions and entertainment that can be enjoyed by anyone who wishes to visit or retire in the city of Pensacola.
