About Columbus

Columbus, Georgia has some of the most beautiful scenery. With tall gorgeous trees everywhere it is hard not to enjoy the city. There several different shopping malls to shop in. The northern part of the city does have the nicer shops and higher class of living. That is where most of the nice eating and restaurants are located. Not all of the businesses are located in the Columbus, Georgia yellow pages. Trying to find something might take more work than other cities. GPS does not tend to work very well in the city since the addresses are slightly different than what GPS picks up.

The Columbus, Georgia business directory does not have all of its main businesses even listed in it. It could be due to the Chamber of Commerce or the city's officials that do not make it known to new and current business owners that they can be listed in the directory. This could cause a lot of confusion for someone that just moves to Columbus or that is just visiting. Columbus does have many different types of museums and infantry artifacts throughout the city. The museums are very nice on the inside and show a vast part of our country's history. It is completely different from reading it in a text book and actually seeing the artifacts. Georgia was part of the Civil War, so there are a lot of different places to visit that show how far our country has come from the past one hundred years.

There is also a cemetery for the military men and women that have died in combat. Not all of them have chosen to be buried there, but you can see headstones dating many years back knowing they are still fighting for us.If you are visiting there are many different hotels to stay at. Checking the reviews is probably the best thing before deciding which motel to stay at. Columbus does not tend to have just a good side and bad side; no matter where you go you can easily end up in a lower class neighborhood. So staying on the main roads to the North western part of the city would be best. Plus that is where are all the fun shops are.
