Most restaurants with a German base are known to serve their famous German bratwurst recipe dishes with special bratwurst seasonings that make it taste just right. However, nothing is better than being served their famous German potato salad, sauerkraut, bratwurst meals that have a little of everything German in it. Once a person takes a bite out of this, plain old American potato salad will never be the same. One of the healthiest foods in the German food line of local German Restaurants is raw sauerkraut, an abundant source of Vitamin C and lactobacilli. This is a member of the lactic acid bacteria which plays an important role in preventing tooth decay in people, able to convert lactose and sugars to lactic acid. German beer, wine, pickles, cheese, and cider belong to this group. In the early German days, recipes from both Germany and Bavaria had to be simple and fast, versions of some of the most famous German foods today.
