Sandpoint is the largest city in, and county seat of, Bonner County, Idaho with a population of 7,365 as of the 2010 census. The city covers a total area of 4.7 square miles, with 3.9 square miles being land and the remaining 0.8 square miles being water. With an elevation of 2,096 feet above sea level, Sandpoint is the home of Schweitzer Mountain Ski Resort, which is the second largest ski resort in Idaho and can be found in the Sandpoint, ID Yellow Pages. The major economic contributors of Sandpoint are tourism and recreation and government services as well as forest products and light manufacturing.
It is home to the headquarters of Coldwater Creek, Litehouse Foods, and Quest Aircraft, all of which can be found in the Sandpoint, ID Business Directory. The city is located on the shores of the state's largest lake, Lake Pend Oreille. With numerous mountain ranges, including the Selkirk, Cabinet and Bitterroot ranges, it is easy to see why this city was named the nation's "Most Beautiful Small Town" in 2011 by Rand McNally and USA Today.
