Evanston is a city that is located in Cook County. Not that many households that are located in this city have children who are under the age of eighteen that were currently living with them. Majority of the households were of married couples who did not have children yet, or their children had already moved out. There were a good bit of households that were of families, but they were not traditional families. There might be both a mother and father figure that is located in the household. It could also be the fact they were boyfriend and girlfriend living together with kids. There was a very high percentage of individuals who were not married, did not have any one else living with them, and did not have any children. It was just them living by themselves.The city of Evanston has also been given its share of nicknames since it has been founded. One of the very first nicknames that the city was given was Heavenston. This nick name was given to the city by a Methodists.
Another nickname that the city was given was The City Of Churches, because there were lots of different churches that were very close to one another. The youth have also given the city of Evaston a nick name. The nick name that they gave the city was E-Town and The E is another one that was given to the city by the youth.There are some places that you should check out if you are planning on taking a trip to Evanston, IL. One of those places is the Grosse Point Lighthouse. This attraction has some legends. Some say that the exact location of the lighthouse is the same place where Father Jacques Marquette landed on his journey to find the west side of the Lake Michigan. This is just a legend there is on actual proof that can show you that this is official. This is just a story that some one came up with one day. Another place that you should visit is called Mount Trashmore. Summed up, this is landfill that has been reused.
