About Auto Service
There are lots of reasons why you might find yourself renting a car. One of the most common reasons for visiting a commercial auto rental company involves travel. Unless you're driving to your destination, it's far more convenient to rely on a rental car than to depend on a friend, relative, public transportation, or to simply go without transportation. It's fairly common to borrow someone else's car during a visit, but that can be burdensome and cause arguments. Additionally, lots of people travel to places where they don't know anyone else, especially on business trips. In these instances, paying for a rental car is usually the best available option. But don't make the mistake of waiting till you arrive to make your auto rental arrangements. You can end up paying far more when you wait till the last minute and you might find yourself stranded because there are no vehicles left to rent! In an emergency situation, you may have to bite the bullet and pay extra; otherwise, take care of everything before you leave. Surprisingly enough, most major commercial auto rental companies allow you to reserve and pay for your rental car from your local outlet. Some nationwide car rental companies that permit these types of transactions are Hertz Rent-A-Car, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Avis, and Ryder. Once you've found your local branch, call them prior to stepping inside their facilities to inquire about any specials or deals they may be offering. Be sure to find out about all of their return policies as some rental car companies charge large fees for dropping off the car at the wrong location.

More on Commercial Auto Rental
There are a few special kinds of commercial auto rental companies that cater to certain consumers. These tend to be much smaller and only have branches in major U.S. cities, but you will still want to find your local branch regardless. An example of this sort of company is Rent-A-Wreck. They offer used and slightly damaged rental cars at a lower price for budget conscious shoppers. On the other hand, there are companies that provide super expensive luxury and sports cars for wealthy consumers or those who want to get a taste of what it's like to be rich. Prestige is one such company. Naturally, luxury auto rental companies charge substantially higher rates than places like Rent-A-Wreck. No matter what kind of commercial auto company you choose to do business with, you will be required to use a credit card and show proper identification to utilize their services. They will probably require you to pay a deposit, too. You also have to be 25 years of age or older to rent a car for insurance reasons.
