Metairie is a city that is located in the state of Louisiana. Metairie lies in Jefferson Parish. Metairie is very near the city of New Orleans. It is also very near the Mississippi River. Today, this city is known to be one of the largest unincorporated cities in the United States. The city has quite a few shopping centers, malls, restaurants, business office buildings, and much more. Over 30,000 vehicles cross this bridge going in and coming out of the city each day.Metairie has a few landmarks that attract many visitors, too. This is home to Lafreniere Park. This park spans 155 acres. This park has a lagoon, boating, playgrounds, ducks, picnic areas, and more. Here you can play golf on the golf course or visit the recreation center. This city is known to have the best tasting water in which it even won an award. The water tower is also known as a major landmark. The state of Louisiana is a very unique place in culture and heritage. Many people from all over the nation and the world come here to explore its very unique people and cuisine.
