Attleboro, Massachusetts is a small city of approximately 42,000 people located in the southeastern part of the state. Its name, like many names of cities and towns in the Bay State, comes from an English town. Many settlers in early America brought the names of cities and streets with them, as a way of honoring their roots and perhaps to help with feelings of homesickness.
