About University
High school graduation passes and the question arises as to whether the young person should pursue work or an academic career. Quite simply, being a graduate of a university means more. More? Yes: More money, more opportunity, more benefits, and more comfort. Statistics show that companies are more likely to hire a graduate from a university verses someone without a degree.Being a graduate means the demonstrated ability to apply determination and discipline to finish a long or short term goal. The company's assumption is the candidate is organized, well read, and has the ability to research a given problem. Why this assumption? Because a student has to develop these skills in order to finish and receive a passing grade in each class. Okay, but these abilities are shown in high school. This is true; however, being a local university graduate means this person has shown initiative to further their education on their own. These strengths are all key components companies look for in a potential employee. This means the company does not have to guess or train an employee to have these basic skills.

More on University
As a graduate of a university, the employee has already defined these basic skills and should have relative ease in learning and applying these skills in the nuances of the job. Companies are always looking for potential employees that can make decisions and implement solutions on their own. Having these skills means a person can move up rapidly within a company. So as a person moves up the career chain, so does the pay, benefits, and relative lifestyle of comfort.True, a person can start at ground level of a company, take twenty years, and work his or her way up. However, after having completed six years of higher learning, a local university graduate will likely start out far above ground level and get training on the company's inner workings. Generally, a university degree will reduce the amount of time to reach the same level by half or more. Thus, the degreed professional enjoys a more comfortable income and lifestyle at a younger age. So the question should really be,what university should you attend?
