Oak Hill is located in the Northwestern corner of Maryland, straddling the border of both West Virginia and Pennsylvania. While Oak Hill is located at the opposite end of the state from Annapolis, Baltimore, and the thriving metropolitan area of Washington D.C., it offers wonders and scenery that one could only find in the rural end of Maryland.
The Oak Hill. Maryland yellow pages won't list any famous naval academies, prestigious universities, or national monuments, but they will leave enough room to breathe and explore the town itself. The Oak Hill, Maryland business directory may not offer much in the way of variety, but Oak Hill certainly has some pristine and untouched colonial charm that is unrivaled in the rest of the region.
Because Oak Hill is in such close proximity to West Virginia and Pennsylvania, residents are given the opportunity to travel between Morgantown, the capital of West Virginia, and Pittsburgh, a stronghold of cultural diversity and entertainment innovation at the west end of Pennsylvania. In fact, due to Oak Hill's location at the western horizon of Maryland, one can sense the distinct feeling that Oak Hill is an amalgamation of different colonial backgrounds and histories. Strongly dominated by colonial architectural influences and rolling countryside, Oak Hill can be a great place to simply stop and "smell the roses." Oak Hill can be one of those excellent and tiny towns to reserve a room in a quaint B&B and enjoy the snowfall during the holidays or the blooming flora and fauna once Spring rolls around.
