Salisbury, Maryland is a community on the Eastern shore of Maryland. It is the largest of the Eastern Shore communities. Salisbury is a community that has about 23,000 inhabitants. It is is the County seat of Wicomico County. Salisbury was first developed as a colonial outpost for Lord Baltimore with the city being at the head of the Wicomico river. The Wicomico is a navigable river that leads to the Chesapeake bay.
