About Coffee

What is the best time of the work day? Well besides lunch time, the answer is coffee break time. When the day is lagging or you just cannot seem to find the motivation to work on that report any longer, a coffee break can provide a much needed boost. Whether you are a coffee connoisseur or need a quick sugar rush, office break rooms should be adequately stocked with supplies. There is nothing worse than feeling the afternoon drag and finding your break room is lacking in supplies. What should a break room have at all times? Well coffee for starters. Even if you are not a huge fan of coffee, sometimes the caffeine boost is just what you need to make it through the last few hours at work. Every office has at least a few employees who do not drink coffee so make sure to include tea and soda as well. Sometimes we cannot function at work properly because we lack the nutrients that come from food. If it is a busy day at the office it may be hard to sneak away for lunch or for a snack. If your break room is supplied with a few treats, it can mean the world of difference to an employee. Keep your employees from low sugar levels and you will increase productivity. Other necessary break room supplies include refrigerators, microwaves and other utensils that help employees prepare and store food. If your company does not have the budget to keep break rooms supplied with food and beverages, then it is a good idea to purchase a refrigerator and microwave so that employees can bring their own supplies in and store them for the day. Keeping plates, cups and utensils around ensure that employees can consume what they have brought to work and means less time spent outside of the office. Whether you invest in a small or large refrigerator will depend on the size of your staff.

More on Coffee Break Supplies

If your break room does not include a kitchen it would be best to invest in paper plates and plastic utensils. Make sure that trash cans are provided near and around the break room. If you work in a small office make sure that the trash is taken out often to avoid odor. Keeping a separate area for a break room is a good idea. Sometimes employees would rather stay in the office than venture outside. The time it takes to move their vehicle or walk to an outside location can take away from the time they have to eat. By providing a break room, employees can enjoy their lunch break and may even get back to work faster. Other employees might want to save money on outside dining, by providing a break room they can bring their lunch to work and enjoy it without distracting their coworkers. Keeping a well supplied break room shows your employees that you care about their well being. By showing that you take the time to consider their needs you are showing them that they matter to your company. A happy employee equals more efficient work and an increase in productivity. Take the steps to provide a well supplied break room and be ready to reap the benefits.
