A wonderful city in Rockingham County, North Carolina, Eden was populated by 15,908 residents at the time of the 2000 U.S. Census. Located in the northern region of North Carolina, the city sits on 15.2 square miles of total area, with all but 0.2 square miles consisting of land. The city was officially incorporated in 1967 through the consolidation of Leaksville, Spray, and Draper. The motto of the city is "The Land of Two Rivers", for their location near the Dan and Smith rivers.
