The history of Concord, NH is long. It began as the Plantation of Parish in beginning as the English moved in, then later became the Township of Rumford. Eventually, it was settled by Concord settlers and was again renamed, this time as the City of Concord. There were many battles for the ownership of the land even after it was originally settled. Many families who were original settlers were displaced in favor of others who had the newly formed government to back them as Massachusetts and New Hampshire became independent colonies.Canterbury Shaker Village is a must see tourist attraction located in Concord, NH.
