Buffets will fill you up so remember to wear loose fitting clothing. If you are on a diet, a buffet restaurant is probably not the best choice for you. However, if you do have to go to a buffet while on a diet, there are ways to eat healthy. Most buffets have salad bars. You can choose from an assortment of vegetables and a variety of dressings. If you are on a really strict diet you will probably want to stay away from the creamier dressings like ranch, thousand island, and blue cheese. If your local buffet does not carry low fat dressings you can chose from the assortment of vinaigrettes. Many buffets also carry a variety of soups. The creamier soups will have more calories, so if you are watching your waist line, try a vegetable soup or minestrone. Just remember the key to keeping the pounds off is moderation. If you do not splurge all the time, visiting the local buffet can be a welcomed treat. You can take a small portion of everything in order to try it all without over eating.
