Playing time normally is 1 hour for singles and 1 1/2 for doubles. Waiting time is based on the honor system or if the local tennis courts are well organized they will have they will have a reservations. It should be stressed that playing at local tennis courts also has its disadvantages. Since it is a public park one should be cautious of ones whereabouts. Unfortunately, less responsible citizens take advantage of the liberties offered at these sites. Security is often very low. Many large public facilities require membership at the local tennis courts. This is because many city and counties lease out the local tennis courts to tennis professionals and they must earn a living. However, many of these public clubs are very reasonable priced. Prices range from $100 to $150 dollars a year.
