Hamilton, Ohio is located on both the banks of the Great Miami River. The city of Hamilton was the original site of Fort Hamilton, which built in the year of 1791. Hamilton given its name by the honor of Secretary of the Treasury of Alexander Hamilton. In the nineteenth century, there were new residents to the area. These residents were from Germany, Ireland, and European countries. At this time, the town of Hamilton had close to a dozen churches, only two banks, and a few newspaper offices.
