Smyrna, Tennessee is located near the central part of the state. It's a relatively smaller city, with an estimated 2009 population of 39,724. The estimation puts the city on par for one of the faster growing communities in Tennessee. Smyrna has been a part of Tennessee dating back before the Civil War.
