Longview, Texas is located east of Dallas along the Interstate 20 route. According to a 2009 estimate, the city has a population of 78,036. Longview covers a 54.8 square mile portion of land. Much it is flat, fertile ground that has benefited from the Texas heat. What was once farmland has been turned into the commercial center for this part of Texas.
