San Antonio, Texas is a great place to visit on your next family vacation or if you happen to be just passing through. First, if you are a Dallas Cowboys football fan, the Cowboys will be doing their pre-season training in San Antonio, Texas the end of July to the beginning of August and it is open to the public. If football is not your thing or maybe the Cowboys are just not your team, San Antonio, Texas also offers ice skating and miniature golf at Northwoods family fun center.
Some more great attractions for the family are Sea World and the Six Flags Fiesta Texas amusement park in San Antonio. Both are so much fun if you or your family enjoy roller coasters, games, aquariums, Shamu shows and more. Another fun amusement park for you to visit is Morgan's Wonderland. This family fun park was the first ever fully accessible amusement parks for those with special needs, their caregivers and for their friends and family. For the smaller ones in the family you could also visit San Antonio's Dinosaur Quest. You could also visit the beautiful River Walk in central San Antonio, Texas. This most amazing sanctuary is actually located below street level and can best be seen by either walking or by the river taxi. With an unbelievable art corridor, a new art museum and the urban village that contains some of the most amazing local artist displaying their work.
San Antonio, Texas is filled with so much history and so many fun and fascinating things for you and your family to enjoy. History here begins of course with the Alamo. The battle of the Alamo goes all the way back to 1836 when Mexican troops started an attack on the Alamo Mission near San Antonio and all but two Texans were killed in this battle. Parts of the original Alamo Mission still stands and is open for tours. For an even bigger adventure of sight seeing the Alamo is the helicopter tours offered for individuals and families. You will tour the entire Alamo City by helicopter and learn the history of all the landmarks from your tour guide. Now if you are not to scared, you can also go on a ghost tour of the Alamo City. The tours are available during the day or at night time. You will tour through graveyards and old battlefields where it is said that the ghosts of soldiers still remain and haunted hotels.
