Park City is a city located in both Summit and Wasatch counties, Utah. As of the 2010 census, the population was 7,558. Park City covers 17.6 square miles of total area, all land, and is elevated 7,000 feet above sea level making for cooler temperatures. The high average in the summer season is 71.5 degrees Fahrenheit with the low in the winter reaching 9 and 10 degrees. Park City was named by Forbes Traveler Magazine as one of the top 20 prettiest towns in the United States in 2008, and the city continues to be shown in top ski and adventure magazines worldwide.
A quick scroll through the Park City, UT Yellow Pages or the Park City, UT Business Directory will show you that the city has three major ski resorts. They are the Canyons Resort, Park City Mountain Resort and the Deer Valley Resort with the latter 2 being major locations for ski and snowboarding competitions during the 2002 Winter Olympics. Despite having less snow and shorter ski seasons, Park City provides much easier access, making it a popular place for winter sports enthusiasts from all over. Park City is also the main location to the nation's largest independent film festival, the Sundance Film Festival.
