About Irish Restaurants

Nearby local Irish Restaurants and the historical ol' Irish pubs located right around the corners have been the centers of Irish society for hundreds of years. Those that are located in our country and across the globe are no different, with real Irish Restaurants and authentic Irish cuisine located from the major cities of Washington DC to Orlando, Florida, and every small town in between. Like their Irish ancestors, those who have brought Irish cuisine to the future still prepare the basics of Irish food as in the past. Irish chefs and corner cooks both prepare their meals with a simple method that involves stews, cabbage, potatoes, boxty, and hot homemade Irish soda and wheaten breads. Irish soda bread is a mainstay of the Irish population, as tea and crumpets are to the English. Cultural events have a lot to do with Ireland, beginning with the annual St. Patrick's Day Festival where lots of special foods are made every year that are Irish based. These events go back in history to the Irish cuisine originating from what crops were grown and what animals were farmed. Local Irish Restaurants began in these early days with an Irish beef industry that is now a major Irish exportation industry. Irish literature refers to the many Irish banquets and types of food that was historically cooked, still present in local Irish Restaurants along with new versions of the old dishes. Irish diners would not be the same without Irish local brew, celebrated in the United States by green brew on St. Patrick's Day, as more than any other country the Irish love their beer and Irish whiskey. Many pubs offer Irish food through their Pub Grill Restaurants, with the famous Murphy's Stout preferred by the strong-willed Irish or the special Apple Cider bottled with more alcohol than their beers. Many Irish diners offer a well-known Irish coffee to go with their hearty Irish breakfasts they are famous for. This huge meal goes back a long ways to the historical gigantic Irish brunches the Irish immigrants brought overseas with, such as corner beef and hash.

More on Irish Restaurants

Open for lunches and dinners, in many local communities the Irish dining establishments offer their traditional burgers, Shepherd's Pie, corned beef & cabbage, Irish beef stew, steak & kidney pie, and bangers & mash for delicious Irish fare that many visitors or tourists do not have the luxury to enjoy. There are many local Irish Restaurants that offer more exquisite dining establishments to its customers, with white tablecloths, private booths, and exquisitely served Irish dishes such as Grilled Armagh Chicken Breast or Belfast Bangers and Mash, or homemade Irish pastries. Many of the restaurants of this culture can be found in traditional European locations with more of a casual and relaxed setting. The Irish foods may include the classic Irish Breakfast, Beef and Guiness soup, Irish Baked Potatoes, traditional Irish Lamb Stew, Cottage Pie, Black & White Pudding or the very famous Irish Potato Pancakes. Most Irish food establishments are open to serve lunch brunch and dinner with always a happy hour on the weekdays - depending on where it is located.
