The city of Keenewick is connected to the pacific ocean with the opening of the dalles-Celilo Canal in 1915. this city also falls in with Pacific Time Zone.
The city of Keenewick also hosts many sporting events such as the Western Hockey League, and their indoor football Team called the Tri-City Fevers.
