Welcome to Redmond, WA which resides in King County. Redmond is located 26 miles east of Seattle. Redmond is named after the first European settler called Luke McRedmond in 1870. Redmond has a population 54,144, and is also the home to the Microsoft Corporation. Redmond is 43 feet above sea level, and is 16 square miles of land. The town's mayor is John Machione, as he has only been the 10th mayor in Redmond's History. Did you know that the Native American Indian settled at this very place over 400 years ago?. Well, you do know now.Back in the 1920s the city of Redmond was going though its biggest downfall, due to the prohibition. But, work surely picked up again during World War II, by using Remond's shipyards. After the war had ended, the city had grown 3 times larger. So they created more jobs like annexation and the construction of the Evergreen Point Floating Boat.
By 1963 Remond had officially became the suburb of Seattle. Also, in 1978 Redmond was the fast growing city in the state. The average temperature for the summer is 90f , and in the winter 10f. Its neighboring cities are Kirkland and Bellevue.Redmond is more of a nice homey type of people that you get meet, and the food is fantastic. Redmond is so beautiful to watch. Remond is a very high-tech town, this is the home of Microsoft, and all the other corporations that are out there.Well, if you want quiet place, flying gadgets, and being right next to Seattle is place, because who doesn't like football and who doesn't love them Seattle Seahawks. Well, just because the Hawks are playing, the townspeople rather have some parties at home to route for their favorite team.
