Located in eastern Washington state, Spokane is the second biggest city in Washington. The city of 202,000 people boarders Idaho, and is in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Spokane the fourth largest city in the Pacific Northwest, after Seattle, Washington, Portland, Oregon, and Boise, Idaho. Spokane's population has been steadily rising for decades. The climate in Spokane allows for all four seasons to be felt. The summers are hot and dry, and the winters get cold and snowy.
