Taking these bottles to an approved local plastic scrap recycling facility will guarantee payment for these particular items. However, some centers may only pay based on the weight of the plastics. Some local plastic scrap recycling facility may be owned and operated by small local government and may not offer any type of payment for the scrap. To make recycling even easier, some local plastic scrap recycling centers will pick up the scrap. Typically, there is a fee associated with this and some may not offer pick up for a small amount of items. This may vary by the center but almost all will allow drop offs. When dropping off materials at a local scrap facility; keep in mind that there may only be certain times or certain areas where they accept scrap. Large quantities may go to a specific area, while the general public can drop off small amounts at almost any time at a designated area. For this reason, it is wise to check ahead.
